Eagles Landing Afterschool Program

The after school program is held at the school and run by Laurel Ridge teachers. It is only open to students who attend the school. The program runs from 2:30- 6:00. The price is $60 per week for 1 child. There is a $10 discount for families who have more than 1 child attending the program. We provide homework assistance, other activities and snack. Parents can register their child in August of each school year. The program begins the first day of school and is only available when school is in session.

Ladybug For Girls- www.ladybugforgirls.org

Our health and wellness club teaches girls transformational healthy life skills in a fun, non-competitive environment. Girls are empowered by learning self-awareness, emotional management, how to make healthy food choices and discover gardening, as well as, increase their physical activity while building leadership skills, self-esteem and healthy peer relationships.

Dates: Mondays, Sept 16th - Dec 2nd (bi-weekly)

Time: 2:45pm - 4:00pm

Our classes teach children a new language in an immersion-based setting. Our approach is through play and activities. Children in our classes learn through music, playing games, hearing stories, role playing and doing simple art activities.

This fun and playful yoga club is the perfect way for kids to practice valuable skills that last a lifetime. Kids who practice yoga have less anxiety, manage stress effectively, sleep better, crave healthy food, focus and concentrate longer, get along better with others and have a deep and true sense of who they are in the world.

Bricks 4 Kidz- www.bricks4kidz.com

In this S.T.E.M. club, children will use our signature “Project 1 Kit” to build complex STEM builds from our over 1,000 different proprietary motorized and architectural LEGO models and our over 200 unit-themes. Our "Master Builders" build from fun themes such as Star Wars and Minecraft, while developing important hands-on problem solving skills, critical thinking and creativity. Each model teaches students new and interesting S.T.E.M. concepts such as fractions, gear ratios, laws of motion and much more! Each child will get to take home a custom-built mini-figure at the end of the semester!

Our classes focus exclusively on teaching drawing skills and we use only dry media – colored pencils and markers. Children who learn to draw using the Young Rembrandts method develop spatial reasoning and fine motor skills, order and sequencing abilities, visualization, and self-discipline as well as fundamental art skills. Our weekly classes introduce concrete ideas and techniques that enlarge children's vocabulary, enrich their imaginations and build their minds.

Expressions In Motion Dance offers students an opportunity to explore multiple styles of dance. Not only will children enhance their dance and performance skills, but they will gain self confidence & poise. Friday Extracurricular Options

Change the Game Athletics- www.ctgathletics.com

Participants will learn basketball FUNdamentals, use a variety of games and activities to learn basketball skills and play basketball in game situations. 

Each session will include a character education component (integrity, perseverance, caring, self-discipline, responsibility, honesty, citizenship, courage, fairness, respect).

Skills: Dribbling, Shooting, Passing, Ball Handling, Defense

4-H is coming to Laurel Ridge! This free club for 1st-5th graders will meet twice monthly (most months) on Friday afternoons beginning September 20th. Our Laurel Ridge club will focus on gardening, environmental education, and natural play.
