This week, we continued our PTA Galactic Groove fundraiser, and our students had a blast at our dance! Students earned a library campout under the stars on Monday, so remember to wear your pajamas!

We start the week celebrating our Custodial Team: Mr. Johnson, Ms. Lisa, and Ms. Ebone! Their hard work every day keeps our building clean and safe.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
October 2- Custodian Day- Help celebrate some of the hardest-working staff in our building. Mr. Johnson, Ms. Lisa, and Ms. Ebone work daily to keep our facility safe and clean!
October 3- Town Hall with School Board Member Whitney McGinniss & DCSD Superintendent Dr. Horton at 6:30pm at Druid Hills Middle.
October 4- Walk, Bike, and Roll to School- Our students will hear a guest speaker during the school day to talk about bike safety.
October 6-9 - Fall Break No School
October 13- Principal's Coffee and Conversation- 8:30 a.m. During this meeting, we will discuss homework policies and practices. During the meeting, participants can share their perspectives and ideas on creating a balanced and effective homework approach that supports students' learning and well-being.
October 19- Progress Reports and Parent/Teacher Conferences- Your teacher will reach out to schedule a conference. As a reminder, we encourage parents to reach out for a conference with their child's teachers if you have any questions or concerns about your students' learning.
October 23-27- Red Ribbon Week- Dress Up Days
Monday- Wear Sports or Exercise Gear
Tuesday- Wear Bright Colors
Wednesday- Wear PJs
Thursday- Wear Red or Pink!
Friday- Wear LRES Spirit Gear!
October 31- Book Character Day- Dress Up as Your Favorite Book Character
