Weekly Update 8/13/2023

Week of August 14, 2023

 Welcome back, Laurel Ridge families!

The first week of school has been a joyous time of reconnection and new beginnings. Our dedicated teachers and staff have worked tirelessly to create a nurturing environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

We have also had a much-needed update to our student bathrooms completed this week. All six student bathrooms have had new restroom fronts and stall doors added. The updates let all our restrooms lock easily and provide better privacy for our students.

I appreciate your patience as we ensure that our students are safely dismissed. This week we had more students dismissed via car, and our buses arrived a bit later than usual. Some friendly reminders to help ensure that we have a smooth dismissal:
-Make sure that you do not block our buses from entering the bus lane or pass them while they are loading students.
-Car riders please make sure to display your hang tags where they are visible for our staff to read until your student has entered the car.
-If your student is a walker, please make sure that the dismissal teacher is able to see you.

If you have any dismissal changes, they must be communicated before noon to both the teacher and the front office.

Here's to a fantastic year of growth and learning ahead!

 Have a great week,
 Ms. Hartman

The August Family Calendar will be posted on the Laurel Ridge website later this week.

The weekly messages can be found on the Principal’s Page:
