Weekly Update 8/27/2023

Week of August 27, 2023

Greetings Laurel Ridge families!

This past week, we had our Curriculum Night and held our first Community Meeting. It was great celebrating with our students and introducing our Safety Patrols for this year.

This week, we will continue our Fall MAP testing. Please ensure your student is well rested each day for their assessment. I will host the first Principal’s Coffee and Conversation this Friday at 8:30 in the cafeteria. Our conversation will focus on increasing parent involvement and the School Improvement Plan.

Students, staff, and families are reminded to wash their hands, stay home when not feeling well, and are welcome to wear masks. Thank you for helping keep Laurel Ridge healthy.

Dr. Thomas is now working on ensuring that all returning students have completed their annual verification. All students' parents must provide proof of residency and a copy of parent identification to complete the yearly registration. If you have not completed this, instructions are provided at the end of this message.

If your family needs food assistance this year, please use the form to sign up. This information is kept confidential. https://forms.gle/pE2zFwAPaZLPY9HB9
